Trying to reach kevin Kehoe
Dear 27th Volunteers, I am trying to reach Kevin Kehoe. He has come been coming to our high school for years to educate us about the Civil War. This is the first year (after probably a decade) that his email got kicked back saying it wasn't active. I'm not sure if he no longer has the interest in coming in (which is totally fine as we appreciate all he has done) but if someone can get the message to him that Mike Goldstein from Nazareth High School is tying to reach him it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all you do in bringing our past alive! Mike Goldstein History teacher Nazareth Area High School

THE CIVIL WAR: THE MUSICAL
Hello! I am writing to introduce our theatre and our September/October professional production of Frank Wildhorn's THE CIVIL WAR: THE MUSICAL. I didn't know if you knew of a group or email blast you could post this to, or if you would have interest yourself...but we are offering some great discounts for groups especially! Here is some info... The Eagle Theatre presents the Professional Regional Area Premiere of Frank Wildhorn’s awe-inspiring show, The Civil War: The Musical, starring Broadway performer Derrick Cobey and 17 other incredible performers. This engaging score, flourished with country, folk and rock influence, features the region’s most accomplished performers, adorned in accurate, time-period costumes, decor' and props. Drawing on letters, diaries, firsthand accounts, and the inspirational words of Abraham Lincoln, Fredrick Douglass and Walt Whitman, this epic thematic masterwork passionately puts a human face on the greatest mark made in American history, guaranteed to leave you breathless and your spirit lifted. Our production runs September 19th through October 11th at The Eagle Theatre in Hammonton, NJ. www.theeagletheatre.com. The Eagle is South Jersey's only year round professional actors' equity theatre and we'd love to have you and your group in town! Let me know if you have any questions or would like to organize a group! I've attached our show artwork logo too! Thank you for your time! Looking for Civil War Reenactors and Living Histor
Our elementary school in Summit, NJ celebrates Colonial Day, a full school day simulation of living in colonial times, every three years. Our next CD is October 3, 2014. The children and adults dress in time-period clothing and we have games, tin-smithing, candle making, butter-churning and many more "activities", but we would live to add some active, living history this year! Please contact me at hlmoller@aol.com if your group does this. Thank you!! Holly

Fort McHenry Trip
Hey everybody this is Stephen and Jerry... and we are the new guys on the block. This is the 200th Anniversary of the Star - Spangled Banner and Ft. McHenry promises to be the place to be at with fireworks, food, reenactors, live cannon fire and so much more..We are always together as reenactors but I thought this would be a nice day for all of us to be together and enjoy the day. This will start September 6, 2014 and continue until the 16th. I have already passed this by John and Robert and everyone I have spoken to so far likes this idea so far. Jerry and myself, would be more than happy to set up this trip, we would all go down together in a convoy, anything special I follow up on with Ft. McHenry. We would like a head count in about two months pick the day you would like and the majority date from members will be the deciding vote of the day we go. Please call me at: 862-208-8455 this is my home number or 862-208-8211 this is my cell number I already have seven confirmed going. I would like to see more of the group there. This is our day to be Americans. Please call Stephen and Jerry. Thank You GLORY TO THE CALVARY

Genealogy of Daniel Bailey
I have become interested in tracing my genealogy. My grandfather was Charles Bailey and lived in Newton, NJ. So far I have only found Daniel as a NJ resident. Would any of your members be desendants of Daniel? Is there a place where I could find this information? If I am a desendant, I would love to join your group.
Much Thanks, Renee

Hello
My sons Connor, Harrison and I met you at Shippen Manor when Santa was there Sunday in December.
Connor in particular is very interested in possibly being part of your organization.  (He had a red vest, and wooden gun)
You have so many great activities through the year, I am sure at the least, we will attend some of them.
Anyway, let us know what Connor/Harry would have to do to be part of your group.

Thank you.
Happy New Year

Letter to the Herald
I read with great interest the letter that Captain Bailey wrote to the Herald 150 years ago.  Gleaning from those words the kind of man that he was, it seems even more fitting that his great, great, great grandson, Edward John Covert, now leads the unit.  Keep up the good work, Ed, I'm proud to call you my friend.
