The 27th Regiment New Jersey Volunteer Infantry Company F is proud to announce our invitation by the National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg to showcase our living history program over the weekend of June 22 - 23, 2013.  While our group rarely travels outside of New Jersey, we felt that this was a chance that could not be passed up.  We are in the middle of the 150th anniversary cycle of the American Civil War, and being able to present our program on a national level is such a great honor!

I hope our presentation will include:
Assistant Surgeon Lt. Ron Walsh with his Civil War Hospital Tent
1st. Sgt Jeff Chandler  instructing the men in the Manual of Arms
              Officers Headquarters Garrison Tent
              Ladies Aid Society

              Tin Type Photographer John Bernaski

Some info to help you plan for the weekend:

We are invited to camp on site. I hope to see a mixture of A-Tents and Dogs on site.  Wall Tents  will be used by our Medical Staff and Officer since we will be portraying the 27th NJ in "Garrison style Camp".  My A-tent will be used as our "closet" to hide coolers and other modern items.

Straw will be provided (I must request it....let me know if you need some)

Firewood will be provided (Remember, just because the wood is there does not mean we have a bonfire.  This wood supply is for all the living history weekends, so we must think of others)

Most of us stay at the same hotel (the name escapes me at the moment-ask Pam)  Last year we went out to the "Texas Roadhouse" for Saturday supper.  Both the hotel and Restaurant are within 10 minutes of the museum.

Be sure to check out the pavers purchased recently for Daniel Bailey of the 27th NJ and Col R McAllister, E Clark Cline, Thomas Halsey, and Thomas Marbaker all of the 11th NJ
